We had quite a tremendous time of fellowship yesterday at Bethlehem’s Thanksgiving luncheon. And the food was pretty good, too!
Prior to the feasting, Vice-President James Bowden conducted a special voters meeting to address the matter of a new electronic message board for the church. With all necessary information in hand, the voters approved the purchase with 15 yes, 3 no, and 1 abstention. The cost will be covered by a $30,000 anonymous designated gift and $14,000 from the church. Installation should happen within three months.
Now we rush headlong towards Thanksgiving. Before then, we have one more GracePlace gathering this Wednesday. We will be discussing the last two letters to the churches in Revelation, which means more spiritual insight for this church’s present situation.
We will resume midweek meet-ups in December for evening Advent services and eventually Christmas Eve, each at 6:30 pm. Wednesday GracePlace will return in the new year.
