Dear friend,
Yesterday at Bethlehem we had the awesome privilege of remembering before the Lord our loved ones who have been brought into His nearer presence in the past year. It is always a heart-felt occasion when the bell is tolled. While the grief can still be deep, the blessed assurance of eternal life with Jesus swallows it up. As I mentioned in the sermon, one day, either in 2026 or beyond, your name and my name will be included in Commemoration, and the same truth will hold—we are at rest with Jesus. We also had a lively Bible study of Revelation 7 and the beautiful vision of heaven. I strongly encourage you to make your Sunday at church start at 9 so you can be blessed by greater fellowship in the Word of God.
That will happen this Wednesday again at GracePlace. This week we will read the second and third letters sent by Christ to the churches in Revelation. There will surely be much to apply to our current situation!
Next Sunday is Mission Sunday. We will welcome Rev. Jaime Gonzalez to Bible class and service to share with us what the Mission Expansion Network is doing in the Rockwall area. That should also provide inspiration for our participation in the ongoing mission of Christ in the Palestine area. There will be a door offering received for the blessing of Pastor Gonzalez’s work, so come prepared.
