If you weren’t at Bethlehem this past Sunday, you missed a great time! We had a lively crowd gathered to hear God’s Word, sing His praises, and be fed by the Bread of Life in the Lord’s Supper. I started a sermon series focused on the church’s new mission/vision/values statement: CHRIST—COMMUNITY—COMPASSION. So next Sunday we will be dialing in on the meaning of Community and how that gets experienced in our congregation.
Our Wednesday evening gathering continues to be a wonderful occasion for fellowship and study, growth in faith and encouragement for faithful living. This week you can come empty-handed because the meal will be ready for you—chili is on the menu! Come anytime after 5 to get a bite to eat, then we will turn our attention to Philippians chapter three from 6 to 7 pm.
Your Church Council will be meeting Tuesday evening. Are you praying regularly for those in leadership positions? Good stuff is ahead as we strive to make full use of all the resources and opportunities God has entrusted to us. With our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ leading the way, we will be blessed.
