Our most recent Friday Night Game Night at Bethlehem was full of energy, laughter, and friendly competition. From table games to on-court showdowns, this monthly tradition continues to bring our community together for a night of fellowship and fun.
Held in the Bethlehem gym, Game Night welcomes all age groups and offers a variety of games including Ping Pong, Dominoes, Farkle, board games, and the ever-popular Pickleball. The event runs from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and features a rotating food menu with selections that have included everything from pizza to tacos.
Pickleball has quickly become one of the highlights of the evening. With players ranging from teens to young at heart adults, participation usually includes about eight players but has grown to as many as 25. Players rotate in to ensure everyone has a chance to play, and at the end of the night, one standout competitor is named MVP.

Thanks to a fun twist introduced by Mark Sandlin, the MVP now receives the prestigious Northeast Texas Pickleball Association medal. This charming award was discovered at a resale shop and is now a permanent part of our Game Night tradition. Each winner is photographed wearing the medal, and their photo is shared with the congregation. The medal is kept at the church and passed on to the next MVP.
This month’s MVP was Mary Bowden, who earned her title with impressive play and great spirit. As the photos show, she proudly wore the medal and reflected the joy and sportsmanship that make these nights so special.
Whether you are there to compete, cheer, or just enjoy the snacks, Game Night at Bethlehem has something for everyone. We hope to see you at the next one.
