We are delighted to announce the addition of Kelly Lawson as Bethlehem Lutheran Church’s new financial secretary. Officially stepping into this role in July 2026, Kelly brings with her a deep connection to our church community and a heart full of service and dedication.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Kelly moved to Palestine at the age of 15 and soon became a cherished member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. It was here that she met her husband, Tim, and the two have shared many milestones within our church walls, from their wedding in 1984 to the baptisms of their three children.
Throughout her years with us, Kelly has enriched our church life in many ways, notably serving on the Altar Guild and guiding our youth alongside Tim through engaging National Youth Gatherings. Her career with Palestine ISD spanned 27 years, where she worked in various roles, demonstrating her commitment to education and community service. Kelly’s “eye for detail” is well known, and she’s ready to apply this skill in her new role.
In retirement, Kelly enjoys solving Sudoku puzzles and tending to her beautiful potted plants. She and Tim also hope to rekindle their love of camping, exploring the great outdoors with friends.
We look forward to the years ahead with Kelly in this vital role, confident in her ability to guide us with care and precision. Please join us in warmly welcoming Kelly as she prepares to serve with love and enthusiasm.
