We are grateful to introduce Pastor Bill Heithold, who is serving Bethlehem Lutheran Church through the Grace Place Bible Studies at 1515 South Loop 256, Palestine, TX 75801. In this simple midweek gathering, Pastor Heithold helps us open God’s Word together and encourage one another in faith.
Pastor Heithold was born in Wayne, Nebraska, and graduated from high school in Randolph. After studies at the University of Nebraska and the University of Missouri, he earned a master’s degree in Ruminant Nutrition from New Mexico State University. After a few years following his wife Cyndi in the Air Force, they made their home on her family’s ranch near Vaughn, New Mexico, where he worked and managed the family ranch. As they drove 80 miles to worship, the Holy Spirit was drawing Bill from the ranch into the field of ministry with a few year stop over on a ranch in Missouri. He began seminary studies at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1993 and completed them in 1997. That year, he accepted a call to serve the tri-parish congregations in Winner, Clearfield, and Hamill, South Dakota. He later served as sole pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Cyndi’s hometown, until his retirement on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Now living in Hallsville, Texas, Bill and Cyndi enjoy time with their three children and five grandchildren. Pastor Heithold also stays busy mending fences, clearing land, helping on his son’s property, filling pastoral needs in the area, and hunting. He is preparing for a pheasant-hunting trip to South Dakota while visiting family along the way.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10.
Please join us in welcoming Pastor Bill Heithold by introducing yourself at Grace Place Bible Study and thanking him for sharing God’s Word with us.
