Peter wanted a number. How many times do I have to forgive, seven? Jesus answered with seventy times seven and then told a story about a servant forgiven an unpayable fortune who walked straight out and seized a neighbor over pocket change. Pastor Glen Huebel works through that parable in two movements: first the debt you could never settle and the verdict that cancels it outright, then the strange second half where the forgiven man behaves as though none of it happened. He argues the story does not end in the pit where Jesus seems to leave us, but circles back to where it started, with a sinner before the King hearing the word of pardon again.
