On the bright morning of May 7, Bethlehem Lutheran Church had the joy of honoring the incredible educators and staff at A.M. Story Intermediate School. With hearts full of appreciation, our church community came together to provide a warm and welcoming start to their day.
We served a delightful breakfast spread of donuts, kolaches, and juice to over 80 dedicated teachers, paras, and support staff from grades 4 to 6. In addition to the meal, we shared goodie bags filled with school supplies and Walmart gift cards with the teachers, and treated the paras to a free small drink from Scooters, a local favorite here in Palestine.
The morning was more than just a meal—it was a celebration of dedication, connection, and community. Familiar faces from Game Night, church, and school mingled with new friends, strengthening bonds and lifting spirits. We’re proud to note that two of our own church members serve as teachers at A.M. Story, and another shares his talents as an IT professional in the district.
It was a privilege to express our heartfelt thanks for the vital work these educators do in nurturing and shaping young minds. Their passion and commitment make a lasting difference in our community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support them in their important mission.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a meaningful success. Here’s to a wonderful finish to the school year—and many more opportunities to connect and serve!
