Dear friend,
What a great Sunday we had with Christ in Community at Bethlehem! Our worship and study were blessed by the proclamation of Pastor Jaime Gonzalez from Expansion Mission Network in Rockwall. Inspiration was given and challenge was issued to seek the mission of God in our daily lives and as the people of God in Palestine. I greatly appreciated Pastor Gonzalez’ image of simply opening the door to Spirit-led conversation and relationship, and the idea that we stay “open all day” for everyone who needs the love of Jesus.
Next Sunday will be a big one with group Bible study and then worship with Holy Communion and then Thanksgiving feast pot-blessing lunch and a little voters’ meeting thrown in for flavor. The meeting will specifically involve a final decision on moving forward with a new electronic message board (church sign).
In the meantime, we will have GracePlace on Wednesday with the reading of letters four and five to churches in Revelation. Just as valuable, we conclude the study with prayer time for as many petitions as are brought forward.
