Dear friend,
If you haven’t heard, yesterday the Voters Assembly of Bethlehem approved a one-year contract with me to serve as Vacancy Pastor. Praise the Lord for this divine appointment, bringing us together as His Church to be faithful and devoted in ministry and mission!
I have already enjoyed our time together in June and July. I am impressed with the quality of leadership across the board, along with the depth of commitment shown by those who love their church family. I look forward to meeting everyone connected with Bethlehem and discovering all the different ways you are serving.
On Sunday mornings, along with our uplifting worship, we join together at 9am for group study of God’s life-giving Word. Currently we are highlighting one of the three Scripture readings of the day for an in-depth look at the truth and wisdom of Jesus applied to our lives. I make an earnest appeal to you to give this Bible class a try and see how you are blessed.
Also, I am beginning to lead the Wednesday evening Scripture study. I attended for the first time last week and found a delightful group of people engaged in hearty fellowship. Just the midweek pickup we all can use! Come as you are able around 5 or after to enjoy a meal and conversation, then we will start the Bible study at 6, finishing up with prayer time at 7. I am very eager to read and discuss together the letter to the Philippians, my favorite book in the New Testament.
