“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”
Isaiah 6:8
Being willing to be used by God can be a challenge in life because we have so many thoughts about what we need to do ourselves. And it seems like the older we get that more is added to our list and the more complex daily life becomes.
And truth be told there is a lot to do and there is a lot on our plate but it helps to remember we also have higher purpose than just getting through the day and checking things off our to do list. The higher purpose is to bring God glory in the way we live our daily lives.
The Lord is still asking for volunteers to go out into the world to represent Him. Are we eager to obey like Isaiah? Are we raising our hands and saying, “Pick me!”?
Jesus lived His life for God’s glory, and he picked us to be his brothers and sisters. May we live our lives in such a way that we bring glory to God too.
